Stock Photos, Icons, and Graphics
Canva has over 1 million stock photographs to choose from that you can use in all of your designs.
Aside from thousands of high-quality, premium images, you can stay within the Canva editor while choosing your image. You can easily switch between images and colours and immediately view your changes.
Canva also has thousands of background images and textures that can easily hold text and other design elements on top of them.
With Canva’s image licensing agreement you can:
- Use their content in a Canva design, for a wide range of personal and commercial uses.
- Use their content in marketing or social media, or even sell merchandise with your design on it.
With Canva’s image licensing agreement you can not:
- Resell, redistribute, or take credit for unaltered media provided through Canva.
Schedule Social Media Posts Right From Canva!
With the Canva Pro plan, you can easily post to a variety of social media channels, and even schedule future posts.
- Facebook Groups and Pages
- Instagram Business Account
- Slack
- Tumblr
You can connect multiple social media accounts to your Canva account, and track all of your posts in one place – on your calendar within Canva!
Canva Branding Kit
On Canva’s Pro plan you have the ability to create different branding kits so that you can keep designs on-brand across your team.
In your branding kit you can upload your logo, specify brand fonts as well as your colour palette. This really helps to keep your designs consistent.
The Coolest Features
Canva has a couple of super cool features which I love.
The first is their Background Remover Tool which gives you the ability to remove the background from images. This means you can take the focal point of the image and add it to another image.
The second coolest feature is the Magic Resize – literally allowing you to create one image and transform it, with the click of your mouse, into a variety of image sizes.
The third coolest feature is frames. Frames allow you to easily crop images into shapes. You simply upload the image you want to use, or choose one from Canva’s image library, then drag it into the frame.
And one of my favourites? It’s the ability to animate any design.. like this FREE LEAD MAGNET TEMPLATE I made just for you!

What’s the cost of Canva?
The great thing about Canva is that you can sign up for the free plan which has good functionality, but if you want to kick it up a notch then I’d suggest the Pro plan. At the time of publishing this blog post the cost is just $149.99 CAD for an annual plan – well worth it for the ease and functionality of Canva Pro!
